Dr Mahmoud Omar
President
Imam Dr. Mahmoud Omar graduated from Al-Azhar University, majoring in the fundamentals of Islamic Jurisprudence and theology. Currently, the Resident Imam of Al Rashid Mosque, and he is an Associate Professor at the Islamic University of Minnesota.
Mufti Safiullah
Vice President
Imam Saffiullah has devoted his career to teaching Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies, helping young Muslims connect with their faith in a practical and meaningful way. With studies at Al-Azhar University and the University of Cambridge, he combines solid scholarship with a caring, community-focused approach to teaching.
Dr. Imran Qureshi
Treasurer
Dr. Imran Qureshi holds a PhD and MA in Usul al-Din and an MBA in Community Economic Development. His academic work focuses on Islamic education, prophetic leadership, and holistic community development.
Sheikh Owais Hikmat
General Secretary
Sheikh Owais Hikmat attended the Islamic University of Al-Madina and studied Islamic Studies and Fiqh Jurisprudence. Sh. Owais has an educational background in Business Marketing, Technology Management, completed Masters of Public Administration and Policy from University of Saskatchewan. With 20 years in the not-for-profit sector, Owais Hikmat is currently the Director of Development at Penny Appeal.
